Community Outreach
We aim to be mission-focused, supporting our community in a variety of ways. Below are the listed contributions to different agencies and upcoming programs. Thank You in advance for the generous gifts as we continue to reach out in humble service of our Lord Jesus Christ!
November 2024 – New external doors installed through a bequest from, Betty Walters, a life-long member
December – Caroling at Woodcrest
January – Hosted Conference Lay Academy at Union Chapel
February – membership/renewal class
March – Henderson Settlement Mission trip by three members who worked in the greenhouse planting seeds and seedlings into flats ready to distribute for local gardens
Collection for Decatur Fire Department fire education program.
Collected for the victims of the Winchester area tornado that struck on March 15. Funds were sent to Parker City UMC who coordinated relief locally.
April – Donations to Mountain Mission Truck
April & May ~ Collection Jar for UMCOR Flood Relief
July – Mission trip to Kenya by Pastor & his wife

Henderson Settlement has been ministering to the people of southeastern Kentucky since 1925 through various programs. These programs include:
